As Simple As 1, 2, 3..

OUTSTANDING John showed up on time, replaced old thermostat, inspected all indoor and outdoor systems and flushed and cleaned them. Added coolant. He then took time to go over all he had done and what I need to do in the future. The price was very fair. Too bad all contractors are more like John and Jen. I highly recommend them

Frequently Asked Questions

Uneven cooling is usually caused by airflow issues or system design. Common reasons include blocked or dirty vents, leaky ductwork, poor insulation, or an AC system that isn’t properly sized for your home. In some cases, certain rooms simply don’t get enough airflow due to duct layout. A professional inspection can pinpoint the exact cause and balance your system for more consistent comfort.

Short cycling is not normal and can put unnecessary strain on your system. It’s often caused by an oversized unit, a dirty air filter, low refrigerant levels, or thermostat issues. Electrical problems can also be a factor. If your AC is constantly turning on and off, it’s best to have it checked quickly to prevent bigger (and more expensive) problems.

If your AC struggles to cool your home, it could be due to high outdoor temperatures, poor insulation, dirty coils, low refrigerant, or an aging system that’s losing efficiency. Your AC should be able to maintain a comfortable temperature—not run nonstop without catching up. If it’s taking too long, it’s a sign something isn’t working as efficiently as it should.

It’s better to raise the temperature rather than turn your AC completely off. Turning it off forces your system to work much harder to cool your home back down later. A programmable or smart thermostat can automatically adjust the temperature while you’re away and bring it back down before you return, saving energy without overworking your system.

No—closing vents can actually do more harm than good. Your HVAC system is designed to distribute air evenly throughout your home. Closing vents increases pressure in the duct system, which can lead to reduced efficiency, air leaks, and even damage over time. It’s better to keep vents open and address airflow issues properly if needed.

We recommend servicing your AC at least once a year, ideally before the summer season. Regular maintenance helps catch small issues early, keeps your system running efficiently, and extends its lifespan. Skipping maintenance often leads to higher energy bills and unexpected breakdowns when you need your system most.

Your AC’s drain line should be cleaned every 1–3 months to prevent clogs and water backups. A small amount of vinegar is typically preferred, as it helps break down buildup without the harshness of bleach. Regular maintenance visits will also include checking and clearing the drain line to prevent issues.
